Session Chair: Dave Fischman

ISO 19115 is fantastic for collection records. However, this does not cover all the other flavors of metadata that NOAA can collect and obtain value from. For example, system metadata, workflow metadata, product(s) metadata, 'Omics metadata, AI tagging, UxS metadata, etc. Can we create a fractal metadata format that can describe all metadata? Can we change ParentID to relationshipID where parent child is just one of many relationships.

Presentations: (abstracts by session here)
1. CoRIS: More than just a data catalog, combining multiple record types into a unified search model

2. Visions for next generation content curation, analysis and dissemination for underwater science video using AI and cloud technologies
- Adam Miller (NOMAD)
3. Metadata as a fractal
